Question before metric

We start with the decision a reader is trying to make. A metric is included only when its definition and limits help answer that decision.

Definitions and reproducibility

Guides state the numerator, denominator, scope, and comparison conditions that can materially change an interpretation. Calculator formulas are displayed beside the result and run entirely in the browser.

Evidence and uncertainty

We separate directly observed behavior from attributed, modeled, or estimated values. We avoid universal benchmarks where industry, intent, placement, device, and implementation can change the expected range.

Privacy and safety

Our guidance discourages personal information in URLs, event parameters, and reports. Readers remain responsible for their own consent, retention, access, contractual, and legal requirements.

Review cycle

We review pages when a material definition changes, a correction is reported, or the recommended workflow no longer reflects common implementation practice. Every guide displays its latest modification date.
